This trip is full, but if you would like to join, leave your details and we will let you know when someone drops out!

The plan this year is to centre the trip around a visit to the stunning Katse Dam.

The finer details of the trip are still being finalized and will be communicated soon, but you can bank on leaving the Rotunda at 06hoo on Friday 29 March and returning on Monday 1 April 2024, with an unforgettable experience in between.

Unfortunately, for logistical and safety reasons, the trip is restricted to 10 vehicles, so register early.

Laitsoka Pass to Malibametso where we will cross the Katse Dam, travel down the western side of the dam and stay overnight at the Makhangoa Community Campsite.
Distance – 162 km. Travel time – approx. 4,5 hours

Day 3 - 31 March

Distance – 173 km. Travel time – approx. 4,5 hours

Day 4 - 1 April
Long day back home. Back to Taung, then up mountain back to the A14 (tar road) and then on to Sani Top via Black Mountain and home.
Distance – 318 km. Time – approx. 7,5 hours

Please note that all vehicles must have recovery gear, radio, sufficient water and of course
food.
Beer is available from the locals, and we should support them.
Fuel should be available locally, but it is advisable to carry a jerry can of your favourite.
Lesotho can be very unpredictable, so be prepared with warm clothes and rain gear.
Some roads and stops can be weather dependant, so you must also be prepared to wing it, and maybe do a road repair or two.
PASSPORTS ARE ESSENTIAL.
