Battlefields Trip

Last year's trip to the Battlefields went off well and there have been requests for a follow-up.

We have secured Tony Coleman to guide us through the Battlefields!

Battlefields we will be visiting are:

Saturday: Isandlwana & Rorkes Drift

Sunday: Wagon Hill & Spionkop

The plan is to leave Friday afternoon for Elandsheim Retreat and spend two (2) nights there. View their website here

Participants can however leave Pietermaritzburg early on Saturday morning to join the trip. We will confirm the departure time from Elandsheim for Isandlwana in due course.

Details about the accommodation at Elandsheim are as follows:

Camping: R100 per person per night

Cabins: 6 chalets (Shared ablutions) that sleep 8 people. Four beds on the ground floor and four mattresses on the floor in the upstairs loft. Minimum of R740 per night. However if more than 4 people sharing it will be R160 per person per night. Only sheets are equipped and additional linen is available at R40 for blankets and duvets.

The cost of the Guide will be split between the participants! The cost of the guide is R308 per person

There is a charge for entry to 3 of the sites. R35 pp/site. This is for your account at the site.
